Liberty Utilities will celebrate National Drinking Water Week by visiting two Pine Bluff area schools Thursday, May 10.

Beginning at 9 a.m., Liberty Utilities employees will visit classrooms at Coleman Intermediate School in the Watson Chapel School District. At 1 p.m., employees will visit James Matthews Elementary School in the Dollarway School District.

The company will give students water protection and conservation tips, coloring pages, and other educational materials, according to a news release.

National Drinking Water Week is being observed May 6-12. The theme is “Protect the Source.”

“For more than 40 years, members of the American Water Works Association have celebrated Drinking Water Week – a unique opportunity for both water professionals and the communities they serve to join together in recognizing the vital role water plays in our daily lives,” according to the release.
