Britney Danielle Johnson, Ph.D., of Pine Bluff will graduate from medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., Friday, May 18. She will receive her doctorate in biology and biomedical sciences, biochemistry and molecular biophysics, according to a news release.

Johnson was a 2008 graduate of Pine Bluff High School, where she was valedictorian. In 2012, she received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Jackson State University at Jackson, Miss., where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Johnson is the daughter of Chanda Evans of Pine Bluff and granddaughter of Jacqueline B. Millard of Pine Bluff.
