Vietnam Veterans’ certificates and pins from a Little Rock event are being prepared, according an Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs spokeswoman.

“Veterans who had registered for the Vietnam War Commemoration at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Jack Stephens Center on March 29, 2018, but were not able to attend, your District Veteran Service Officers have your certificates and lapel pins and are working on getting those to your county veteran service officer,” Sue Harper, District 9 Veteran Service Officer, said in a news release.

“We recommend that you reach out to your county veteran service officer to locate your certificate and lapel pin. If you know of a veteran who this impacts, please reach out to them to let them know,” Harper said.

Some counties have already received the lapel pins and certificates and plan to give them out by Memorial Day.

In Drew County, veterans who registered can receive their certificates and lapel pins at the Drew County Memorial Event scheduled for 10 a.m. Memorial Day, May 28, at the Drew County Courthouse.

The registered Chicot County veterans should check in with the Ashley County Veteran Service Officer, Brandy Dye for the certificate and lapel pin.
