Sherry Elaine Boyce Costello, age 60, of Pine Bluff, died Saturday, June 2, 2018.

Born September 7, 1957 at Gary, IN, she was the daughter of Billy Ray Boyce of Pine Bluff and the late Alma Ruth Via Boyce. She was a 1975 graduate of Grady High School, and was Miss Pine Bluff in 1976.

For over 20 years, Sherry was the secretary at Trinity Lutheran Church. In her younger years, she sang professionally, and was once a backup singer for Jerry Lee Lewis.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Pat Costello; a son, Justin Costello; her father, Billy Ray Boyce; a brother, Randy Boyce (Marsha); aunts, Margaret “Sissy” Via and Ann Harwood (Jim); uncle, Bob Lawson; two step-children, Patti King and Scott Costello; along with many other loving family and friends.

Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be private.

Marjorie Lambert

Marjorie Claire Parsons Lambert, age 91, of Pine Bluff, died Tuesday, May 29, 2018.

Born October 24, 1926 at Sebring, FL, she was a daughter of the late Claude Parsons and Florence Swailes Parsons. She was reared and educated in Georgetown, SC.

A resident of Pine Bluff since 1958, Mrs. Lambert worked as a cost accountant for International Paper Company, retiring in 1993 after 35 years of service.

She was a member of South Side Baptist Church.

Predeceasing her are her husband, Dan Lambert on May 24, 1967; two sons, Greg Lambert and Tim Lambert; her twin brother, Milton Parsons; and a sister, Annelle McCants.

Survivors include her son, Mike Lambert (Susan); two granddaughters, Robin Bryan (Chris) and Meredith Rice (Joe); and great-grandchildren, Christopher Bryan, Chase Bryan, Susan Caroline Rice, and Jett Rice.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services.

Star City - Ray Lee (R.L.) Boyd 79 of Star City passed away Saturday at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. He was born May 5, 1939 in Cole Spur, Arkansas (Lincoln County) to the late R.V. and Lucille Leopard Boyd. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Calvary Assembly of God Church and a veteran of the Air Force.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Annie Pauline Gill Boyd, a brother, Jackie Wayne Boyd and two sisters, Linda Cagle and Pattie Cagle.

Survivors include two sons, Ray Dean Boyd and Dale Lynn Boyd both of Star City, two daughters, Shannon Moreland (Scottie) of Dumas and Dawn Boyd (Mark Curry) of Rye. Other survivors include two brothers, Tim Boyd (Susie) of Munford, Tn. Johnny Boyd of Minden, La. and three grandchildren, Lynnsey Moreland, Gracie Moreland and Tanner Moreland.

Services will be Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Star City - Gertrude Estelle Carter McGehee, 96 of Star City passed away Monday at Gardner Nursing Center. She was born February 16, 1922 in Lincoln County to the late William Bart and Gracie Estelle Cline Carter. She was a member of Crigler Missionary Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Also preceding her in death were her husband, Woodrow Wilson McGehee; son, Jerry Wilson McGehee; grandson, Jerry Carter McGehee; 4 brothers, Robert Edward Carter, Robbie Ray Carter, William Glyn Carter and Odis Gene Carter; 2 sisters, Joy Bernice Rupe and Loy Opal Scott; and daughter-in-law, Rozella McGehee.

Survivors include 2 sons, Billy Ray McGehee and Tommy (Dianne) Carter McGehee, both of Star City; 2 daughters, Brenda (Kenneth) Estelle Conaway of Gilmer, TX and Lydia (Sammy) Ann Prevatte of Star City; brother, Winford “Sonny” (Shelby) Bart Carter of Santee, SC; sister, Bobbie (Elmer) Ruth Carter Reynolds; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral services are 10:00AM Thursday at Griffin Funeral Chapel with Bro David Leopard and Bro. Chip Wallace officiating. Visitation is 6:00-8:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial at Holly Springs Cemetery.
