A free workshop entitled Selling Products/Services to Government Agencies will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, July 26, at Southeast Arkansas College’s technology room.

The Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of Arkansas at Monticello will host the workshop, according to a news release.

“Did you know that the U.S. government, the world’s largest buyer of goods and services, is required by law to use small businesses for 23 percent of purchases?” according to a news release. “During this event, we will provide an overview of doing business with the federal government including 8(a), HUBZone, and Women and Veteran owned certifications. We will also go over what resources are available to assist the small business owner who is interested in doing business with the government.
