The Pine Bluff Police Department will present the Police And Youth (P.A.Y.) Camp graduation at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 12, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.

Approximately 250 children have successfully completed P.A.Y. Camp, according to a news release.

“The P.A.Y. Camp is a program that allows youths, while out for summer vacation, to participate in events under the guidance of police officers,” according to the release. “It benefits the community by letting our younger citizens interact with law enforcement officers in a non-enforcement capacity. At the same time the kids got to experience of a variety of fun and games as well as classroom work designed to help them in life.”

Classes were geared toward pointing youth toward becoming confident and capable adults.
