The U.S. Travel Association recently honored Arkansas Tourism with a Mercury Award. The presentation was held during the 2018 Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) event in Phoenix.

“Arkansas was chosen over Travel Michigan and the Idaho Department of Commerce in the digital campaign category for its 2017 digital marketing campaign,” according to a news release.

“Arkansas Tourism, a division of the Arkansas Department of Parks and Tourism, strives to expand the economic impact of travel and tourism in the state and enhance the quality of life for all Arkansans. The division manages 14 Arkansas Welcome Centers and employs more than 60 staff members across The Natural State,” according to the release.

Arkansas was one of 26 U.S. Travel member organizations recognized during the ESTO event.

“Mercury Awards recognize excellence and creative accomplishment in state and territory destination marketing and promotion,” according to the release.

“Little Rock agency CJRW developed the campaign, which incorporated native video as well as geographic and demographic targeting. A judging panel of marketing experts from organizations including JPMorgan Chase, Hylink North America and the University of South Carolina selected the winners for this year’s award programs,” according to the release.
