Life Book Club will present “The Simple Faith of Mr. Rogers” from 4-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Library System’s main library theatre at the civic center, 200 E. Eighth Ave.
The event is free and the community is invited to attend, according to a news release.
The Rev. Kevin Robbins, with the Life Book Club, will host the movie presentation, which is an exploration of the life, lessons and legacy of iconic children’s television host, Fred Rogers.
“The Mr. Rogers documentary was one of the most successful specialty box office releases this summer. While it might not have made loads of money like Avengers: Infinity War or Incredibles 2, it earned a respectable $22.5 million, which is more than most documentaries make in theaters,” according to the release.
The film was also the 12th highest grossing documentary of all-time and the second highest grossing movie from Sundance this year, according to the release.
“If you happened to miss ‘Won’t You Be My Neighbor?’ in theaters this summer, the good news is that it’s coming to the Pine Bluff Main Library Theatre,” according to the release. “Please make plans to come and bring your entire family.”
