The Pine Bluff School District Title I Parent & Family Resource Center is sponsoring ACT-Aspire Math parent engagement workshops for parents to help children prepare for tests.
Workshops are free and will be held at the Parent Center, 1215 W. Pullen St., at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, for 3rd and 4th grade math, and Tuesday, Sept. 25, for 5th and 6th grade math.
At the workshops, parents will become familiar with ACT Aspire question types, learn about the format of the test, practice test questions on the computer and learn strategies to coach their children in problem solving and diagnose areas of concern.
The ACT Aspire Interim 1 Common Assessment for grades 3-5 begins Nov. 5-9. The structure of the ACT Aspire Math test is the same from grade 3 through early high school years, therefore, grade level progression is critical, according to a news release.
