South Arkansas Cardiac Rehab – Pine Bluff celebrated its second anniversary with a cookout this week surrounded by patients, clinic staff and members of the community.
The menu included heart healthy dishes, including Tuscan smoked chicken, twice baked potatoes, a vegetable medley and fresh fruit trays.
“The weather was beautiful but not as beautiful as the smiles and conversations exchanged during this time of celebration. Everyone left fulfilled with happy hearts,” a spokesman said in a news release.
“SACR Pine Bluff was established in June of 2016. Since then, many dedicated patients have completed their program and successfully healed themselves through the Intensive Cardiac Rehab sessions,” according to the release.
“This Intensive Cardiac Rehab program offers the full circle of a heart healthy lifestyle. They offer monitored exercise sessions, live cooking schools, healthy mindset lectures, nutrition workshops, and 1:1 dietician consults; this rehab program gets heart patients motivated and prepared to fully heal from the moment they walk into their doors. They will have the support and education needed to continue their path to a heart healthy lifestyle even after their program is completed. They will be equipped and confident to pursue their wellness on their own,” according to the release.
