Dollarway High School Class of 1983 will celebrate its 35th reunion Friday, Nov. 2, from 5:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Pine Bluff Country Club. All members of the class are invited to attend the reunion.

Walter Pryor, the 1983 class valedictorian, will be the featured speaker, according to a news release.

​Pryor​ ​is​ ​senior​ ​vice​ ​president​ ​of​ ​government​ ​relations​ ​and​ ​general​ ​counsel​ ​for Ceannate​ ​Corp.​ ​of Rolling Meadows, Illinois.

Previously, Pryor was​ ​vice​ ​president​ ​of​ ​government​ ​affairs​ ​for Career​ ​Education​ ​Corp.​ ​and​ ​as​ ​a​ ​principal​ ​and​ ​general​ ​counsel​ ​for​ ​the​ ​Podesta Group,​ ​a​ ​Washington,​ ​D.C.​, ​government​ ​relations​ ​and​ ​public​ ​relations​ ​firm.​ ​

He also worked as​ ​legislative​ ​director​ ​for​ former ​U.S.​ ​Sen. ​Mark​ ​Pryor,​ ​where​ ​he​ ​managed​ ​the legislative​ ​staff​ ​and​ ​provided​ ​strategic​ ​counsel​ ​on​ ​​legislative​ ​and​ ​political matters, according to the release.

“​Before​ ​working​ ​in​ ​the​ ​senate,​ ​he​ ​was​ ​deputy​ ​director​ ​and​ ​managing​ ​attorney for​ ​the​ ​National​ ​Association​ ​of​ ​Attorneys​ ​General​ ​and​ ​served​ ​in​ ​the​ ​tax​ ​division​ ​of​ ​the U.S.​ ​Department​ ​of​ ​Justice,”​ according to the release.

A ​a​ ​cum​ ​laude​ ​graduate​ ​of Hendrix​ ​College​, he​ ​received​ ​his​ ​J.D.​ ​degree​ at ​Georgetown​ ​University​ ​Law​ ​Center.​ ​

He and his wife, Juliette, are the parents of two children, Adjua, a law student at Georgetown University, and Wade, a junior at Harvard University.
