The Pine Bluff Police Department will be conducting their first-ever toy drive for Christmas and is asking local churches and businesses to donate to the drive.

Pine Bluff Chief Kelvin Sergeant said in a letter that the motto for this year’s drive is “Every child goes home with a smile.”

“We know that there are many children living in impoverished areas within our city, so without people like yourselves giving back to the community, some of these children would not have a Christmas,” Sergeant said in the letter.

Donations must be received by Thursday, Nov. 1, and may be sent or dropped off at the department at 200 E. 8th Ave., Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71601. Checks should be made payable to the Pine Bluff Police Department.

To have an officer to pick up donations, contact Sgt. Lynn Wright at 870-550-1462 or Sgt. Cassandra Briggs at 870-413-6756.
