The Ivy Center for Education Inc. will host ACT Prep/College Readiness Workshops from 4-6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. Snacks will be served from 4-5 p.m.
College readiness workshops will begin at 4:20 p.m., presented by the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff LIONS (Learning Institute and Opportunities for New Students) Program and the recruitment program.
The ACT Prep Workshop, led by the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Office of Diversity Outreach, will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. The focus will be on high school seniors preparing for college.
Interested 7th-12th graders may attend. Students should bring pencil and paper. The workshops are free. Interested students should email Mattie Collins at email@example.com or Patricia Berry at firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday, Oct. 21.
Workshops will also be held Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the Reynolds Center. The event includes UAPB LIONS Program Presentation 4:20-4:40 p.m.; UAPB Recruitment – 4:40-5 p.m.; ACT Prep Workshops 5-6:30 p.m., presented by the University of Arkansas @ Fayetteville – Office of Diversity Affairs Outreach. Subjects include math, English, reading and science.
