In celebration of 30 years of travel, Relyance Bank Crown Club treated its members to a barbecue luncheon recently at the White Hall Community Center, according to a news release.
The tables were decorated with Chrysanthemums, fall napkins and pumpkins. The group feasted on barbecue pork, smoked sausage, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans and bright green cupcakes for dessert.
More than 40 door prizes and gift certificates from area merchants were given away. The winners were Tommy Dial, Ruby Green, Pete Stone, Esther Rowell, Gordon Reese, Jeannette Smith, Tenie Bullard, Donna Heflin, June Adams, Barbara Wegner, Ethel Crowley, Bob Barringer, Bobbie Kurrus, Billy Glover, Eva Glover, Billy McGriff, Rose Clark-Akenhead, Larry Crane, George Pickler, Joe Adams, Patsy Stroud, Phillip Smith, Paralee Fitzpatrick, Betty Lacy, Mary Ann Grimes, Renee Kimsey, Judy Reese, Bert Kornegay, Jo Ann Rugerri, Rita Sevall, Connie Herrin, Shelby Stone, Thomas Berry, Kay Garrison, Nancy Rosen, Clayton Stroud, Kay Turner, Bobbie Bullock, Billy McGehee, Louise Anderson and Linda Pickler.
The Crown Club gave away the grand prize of more than $250 in local area merchant gift certificates. The winner of the grand prize was Nancy Holland.
Cindy Cullins, Crown Club director, shared information about the 2019 tours. These include British landscapes in April, featuring England, Scotland and Wales; Mackinac Island in June; Montana in July, featuring three nights at the 320 Guest Ranch; the White Mountains Fall Foliage tour in October; and the California New Year’s Getaway featuring the Tournament of Roses Parade in December.
The Crown Club also has a tour in 2020 to the Kentucky Derby, also known as “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports” or “The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports” in reference to its approximate duration.
Cullins thanked other bank employees for their assistance with the annual luncheon.
