Heart-N-Hands Extension Homemakers Club held their meeting, Christmas luncheon and party recently at Centennial Fellowship Church at White Hall.


Brenda Robinson, club president, welcomed members and guests. Delores Kelley, community service chairwoman, reported that the club had collected 706 food items and collected $22 in donations for the Transformation Project at Centennial church.


Nancy Rosen, special community service project chairwoman, said that she and Margaret Thomas would deliver special Christmas presents to two needy residents at Davis Life Care Center.


During the business session, Robinson thanked everyone who helped decorate for the Jefferson County Extension Homemakers Christmas Council, worked the Enchanted Land of Lights and Legends as well as participated in other club and county activities.


Marnette Reed, a member of Willing Workers of White Hall, taught a Jefferson County Extension Homemakers Ornament Workshop at the Jefferson County Cooperative Extension Service conference room. Patsy Brown, Cathy Lewis, Robinson, Rosen, Vivian Gerlach, Dixie Fritz, Barbra Freeman, Jody Stout, Connie Herrin, Kelley, Sandy Smith, and Kathryn Brown from Heart-N-Hands EHC created ornaments.


Heart-N-Hands EHC took a club fellowship tour to the Christmas Open House at the Governor’s Mansion. Those attending from Heart-N-Hands were: Stout, Kaye Richardson, Rosen, Lynda Toler, Debbie James and her guest, her husband (Morgan James), Peyton King, Kelley, Robinson, Ray and Carolyn Harness, Sandy Smith and her guest, (husband Randy Smith).


For Show and Tell, Carol Hastings showed a money wreath that she made.


Mary Ann Kizer, Jefferson County Family and Consumer Sciences agent, along with Rosen, Heart-N-Hands Walk Across Arkansas captain, presented certificates of participation to the following members: Herrin, Thomas, James, Fritz, Rosen, Toler, Richardson, Hastings, Carolyn Harness, Vivian Gerlach, Audrey Armstrong, Alpha Hopkins, and Patsy Brown.


The meeting was adjourned for the luncheon and party. The group participated in a cookie/candy exchange and a Left/Right Game Gift Exchange.
