TOPPS (Targeting Our People’s Priorities with Service) Inc., a non-profit organization, will host its 11th annual Girls’ Conference.


The free program will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the waterfront building at Regional Park.


The conference is for girls ages 7-18. Each girl will receive a conference bag, T-shirt and a door prize. Lunch will be served.


Karolyn Taylor, chief executive officer of My Sisters Keyper, will be the featured speaker. Miss UAPB Angelica Perkins and Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington will offer words of encouragement, according to a news release.


The theme for the occasion is “Becoming.”


Guests from different professions will share with the girls how they were able to become successful in their fields.


The girls only conference is open to the public free, however TOPPS asks that children under 7 years of age not attend.
