LITTLE ROCK — Members of the clergy of all faiths are invited to a free educational event sponsored by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences on the importance of advance care planning.

The Lunch and Learn for Clergy is set for 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at Allison Memorial Presbyterian Church at Little Rock.

Participants will view the film “Being Mortal,” which explores the growing field of palliative care and how examining a person’s priorities within a limited life expectancy can empower them to live their lives more fully,” according to a news release.

UAMS Palliative Care team will conduct a question-and-answer session. Guests are invited to bring a lunch. Drinks and desserts will be provided.

This event is offered in conjunction with National Healthcare Decisions Day and funded by a grant from the Dorothy Snider Foundation.

Although the meeting is free, pre-registration is requested at cancer.uams.edu/clergy-tickets.
