Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge visited the University of Arkansas at Monticello April 5 for a regional law enforcement training hosted by her office.

Rutledge and dozens of law enforcement officers were on site as part of the first training event of its kind hosted in south Arkansas, according to a news release.

“Our men and women in blue put their lives on the line to protect Arkansans every day,” Rutledge said. “Today’s event is an important experience for the law enforcement community in south Arkansas to help them tackle some of the issues they face. I look forward to continuing to offer these trainings across Arkansas.”

In 2017, Rutledge announced her intent to offer continuing education for law enforcement agencies outside of the central Arkansas region.
