The Catholic Daughters of the Americas at St. Joseph Church, 412 W. Sixth Ave., will hold their semi-annual bake sale from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, May 4, in the church’s parish hall.

“A smorgasbord of tamales, baked goods, including cakes, pies and cookies will be offered for sale,” Chairwoman Mary Ann Kizer said in a news release. “Casseroles for use on Mother’s Day and during the summer will be sold in various sizes from loaf pans with two servings to 9 x 13 casseroles for large families. Buy now and freeze for later use.”

Proceeds from the bake sale will be used to fund community service projects, including St. Peter’s Soup Kitchen, Girl’s State and Habitat for Humanity, according to Kizer.
