A native of Pine Bluff, Monica Hudson, has written a new book entitled The Adornments of Man. Described as non-fiction, inspirational and spiritual, this is the fifth and final book in her Sleeper Awake Series, according to a news release from Stuff in the Bluff.

The general public is invited to her official book launch from 6-9 p.m. Friday, May 10, at Inretrospec at Little Rock. Music and refreshments will be included.

“My new book is an inner journey about growing in spiritual maturity, following the Word of God that leads us to our identity finding his Son, Jesus Christ,” she said in a news release. “Finding our purpose, using our gifts and talents for the Kingdom – this is a battle cry to remind those growing in spiritual maturity and having a faith filled life that all things are possible through Christ.”

The owner of Hudson Publishers, the author said she wants readers to gain increased knowledge of their identity as Christians.

“We are living in a world that is quickly taking away the privileges that we so easily take for granted,” she said. “As a believer in Jesus Christ, we have a responsibility to be reminded of who we are in Christ. It is important that we acknowledge to the world our true identity as followers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that we may not get lost in the world but be the salt in the world to shine for Christ. It is the hope that my book will bring empowerment, encouragement and education to those reading. They have been equipped for the journey in this life to not only shine, but to also be a force of power in this dark world.”

Hudson has authored five books and four journal style books. She is a member of the American Christian Writers Association.

Hudson’s church book tour begins on May 12 at Bethel AME Church at Little Rock, her home church.

The Adornments of Man will be available for purchase on Hudson’s website, www.2cdivineanswers.com, Amazon.com, Faith Writers and elsewhere.

Hudson’s book will be discussed in June on the Christian radio station, New Praise Radio, anchored by Voice One Media and Marketing. Her radio interview is also set to air in June on Little Rock’s KABF Gospel segment. Her book trailer will debut on May 10.
