Four White Hall High School students will receive Governor’s Distinguished Scholarships.


Recipients are Kaitlyn Babb, daughter of Mark and Amy Babb; Justin Dady, son of Robert and Sonya Dady; Baylor Owen, son of Buddy and Angela Owen; and Caleb Stewart, son of Allen and Melissa Stewart.


The honorees were selected from the 2019 graduating senior class, according to a news release.


The Governor’s Distinguished Scholarship will pay up to $10,000 per year for tuition, mandatory fees, room and board and may be renewed for three academic years in addition to the initial award year, according to the release.


The students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria, which includes: either a 32 composite score on a single ACT or 1410 combined math and critical reasoning score on a single SAT and a 3.50 academic grade point average.
