The Arkansas School for the Blind at Little Rock will welcome Grammy nominated Pine Bluff native Rod Clemmons home for a concert honoring the 100th annual Alumni Convention of the school.


The concert will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Wooly Auditorium at the school during the weekend long convention, according to the release.


Clemmons, who is totally blind, is a graduate of Arkansas School for the Blind, a contemporary R&B recording artist and owner/founder of Verdict Records, according to a news release.


Clemmons will be performing songs from his critically acclaimed debut album release, “What’s Up? It’s Me,” including the top 10 adult contemporary title track of the album.


His contemporary Gospel/R&B label mate, Dan Kenneth, will be opening the concert.


Admission is $5 and all proceeds will go to the alumni association to benefit their work with the students at the school. Details: Verdict Records, 302-3548654.
