The White Hall Bulldogs will have to wait a little longer to face Sheridan, with the winner heading to Baum Stadium in Fayetteville to play for the state title. A game that was supposed to be played Saturday was moved to Monday due to inclement weather.
Monday's game will be played at noon at Benton High School.
To get to this point in their season, White Hall defeated Texarkana 10-7 on Friday.
White Hall was down 6-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Ryan Ruff doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Both offenses were strong at the plate as the Bulldogs collected 11 hits and Arkansas nine in the high-scoring affair.
White Hall captured the lead in the second inning when Spencer Funderburg singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
In the top of the third inning, Arkansas tied things up at four.
Zack Motsinger was the winning pitcher for White Hall. He lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and six runs while striking out two. Baylor Owen and Woody Raines entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Raines recorded the last three outs to earn the save for the Bulldogs.
Drake Browning took the loss for Arkansas. He allowed eight hits and six runs over four innings, striking out six.
Braylon Bishop started the game for Arkansas. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three.
White Hall had 11 hits in the game. Motsinger and Funderburg each had multiple hits for the Bulldogs. Motsinger led White Hall with three hits in five at-bats.
Browning went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Arkansas in hits.
