The Star City High School Art Club recently visited sites in Dallas and Arlington, Texas, as part of an educational field trip involving art, history, science and physical education.

Students toured the Dallas Museum of Art, the Sixth Floor Museum (focused on the life and assassination of President John F. Kennedy), Galleria Dallas, Six Flags Over Texas, AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), and the Perot Museum of Nature and Science, according to a news release.

The field trip was partially funded by a Target Field Trip Grant awarded to Star City High School art teacher Roger Darren High. This was the ninth time he has received the grant, according to the release.

“This field trip provided students the opportunity to visit important historical and educational sites,” said High.

This was the 50th educational field trip High has implemented for his students since he began teaching.
