Risie Howard, a general practice lawyer at Pine Bluff, was honored among the Lawyers of Distinction’s “2019 Power Lawyers” in the June 16 edition of the New York Times, according to a news release.


Born and raised at Pine Bluff, Howard is the daughter of Vivian Howard and the late U.S. District Judge George Howard Jr.


She attended local private schools and is a 2010 graduate of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law, according to the release.


Howard is among Lawyers of Distinction members who were recognized for their competency in jurisprudence and reputation amongst their peers, according to the June 16 publication.


Lawyers of Distinction promotes their members year round in publications including The American Lawyer, The National Law Journal and others.


The Lawyers of Distinction announced in 2018 that Howard was certified as a member.
