Students are participating in the Pine Bluff National TenPoint PEN OR PENCIL Expansion Hub Mobile Sessions at Full Circle 360 summer camp, according to a news release.

Recently, they were given copies of Rewriting My Story, a book written by Kevin L. Hunt Sr., a former gang member.

The Pine Bluff Faith Community Coalition Ministerial Alliance and Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley M. Washington purchased and donated the books to students, according to the news release.

Pine Bluff Interested Citizens for Voter Registration PEN OR PENCIL Mobile Sessions are sponsored in part by Synergy Inc. and Central Moloney Inc., according to the release.

“Students are learning more about Civil Rights, African Americans, both local and national,” according to the release. “Many said they attended the 400 Years of African History Program last week at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.”
