Living Refuge Inc., a social services organization at Pine Bluff, will host an event for young men featuring well known athletes and businessmen.


The first No Cap Zone for males ages 13 to 17 will be held from 3-4:30 p.m. Friday, July 19, at meeting room A of the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, 211 W. Third Ave. Lunch will be provided, according to a news release.


Special guests will include:


Kabion Ento — Green Bay Packers cornerback as well as a graduate of Dollarway High School and University of Colorado;


Carlos James — University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff head baseball coach, 2013 Coach of the Year and a former Oakland A’s draft pick;


Ernie Murry — Former Arkansas Razorback basketball player, a member of the Nolan Richardson Final Four Team and a Wabbaseka High School graduate;


Joshua Bell — A Dollarway High School graduate and a freelance journalist who has a Master of Business Administration degree in sports journalism, according to a news release.


Topics will include education, sports, social skills, conflict resolution, problem solving skills and positive male role models.


Presenters will also encourage, motivate and educate young men and show successful males from similar backgrounds, according to the release.
