The Pine Bluff Black Firefighters will give away school supplies at its Project Fresh Start Back-to-School Bash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. The event will be held in the arena of the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
“Known as B.R.A.V.E. (Banishing Racism Animosity Vigorously Everywhere), this community-minded group of firefighters give area students a helping hand as they return back to school. They do this by providing school supplies and more,” according to a news release.
Sponsors include Walmart, Ford Trotter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, the Jefferson County Sixth Division Circuit Court, Jefferson County AARP, Qualchoice, Delta Dental, Metro PCS and the Daughters of the Elks.
