FBT Bank & Mortgage (FBT) is expanding its banking operations to a Neighborhood Loan Office in downtown Pine Bluff at 716-B Main St. and will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25.
Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington will give remarks and the Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Red Coats will help cut the ribbon.
The Neighborhood Loan Office will serve as a meeting place for FBT’s new financial workshops initiative, as office space for loan-closing purposes, and will provide private financial literacy programming for people of all ages.
“Pine Bluff is a second home for FBT and we couldn’t be more proud to partner in the revitalization of downtown,” said Jim Hulse, FBT president and chief executive officer. “With the new Neighborhood Loan Office, FBT also enhances its focus on being a banking partner for the people of Jefferson County.”
The mayor thanks FBT for their continued support of Pine Bluff, she said.
“I stand shoulder-to-shoulder with businesses that share our vision for a revitalized downtown district,” Washington said.
Joni Alexander, FBT director of community outreach, will work from the office three days a week.
“Not only will customers be able to come to the Neighborhood Loan Office to finish the loan process, we will also host bi-monthly financial literacy workshops,” Alexander said. “Our location is convenient, and we’re going to do everything we can to make banking as simple as possible for the people of Jefferson County.”
The Neighborhood Loan Office expands FBT’s locations in Jefferson County. There are full-service banking centers in the Watson Chapel area at 3400 Camden Road and in White Hall at 7199 Sheridan Road.
