First Electric Cooperative’s member-supported Operation Round-Up program awarded $24,800 to 18 organizations in July.

Members who enroll in Operation Round-Up volunteer to have their electric bill rounded up to the next even dollar amount each month. They have donated more than $1.09 million for local service organizations and scholarships for high school seniors since 1998, according to a news release.

Recipients by county include:

Arkansas County — Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) DeWitt Campus Food Pantry, $2,000.

Garland County — Arkansas Learning Through the Arts, $1,000; UUVA Computers for Kids, $1,000.

Independence County — Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Independence County, $500.

Lonoke County — Wade Knox Children’s Advocacy Center, $1,000; Lonoke County Fair, $1,000; Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Lonoke County, $1,500.

Perry County — Perry County Historical Museum, $1,000; Abundant Life Pregnancy Resource Center, $2,000; Perry County Day Services Center, $2,000; Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Perry County, $1,500.

Pulaski County — 189th Association, $1,000.

Saline County — Imagination Library of Saline County, $1,500; Shaw Fire Protection District, $1,500; Paron Volunteer Fire Association, $1,700; New Beginnings Pregnancy Resource Center, $1,500; Civitan Services, $1,600.

White County — Pangburn Fire Department, $1,500.
