The Watson Chapel Branch Library will close for renovation work beginning Saturday, Aug. 3, according to the Pine Bluff/Jefferson County Public Library System.

The estimated time for reopening is December or January, according to the announcement.

“We look forward to serving you with a library you will be proud of,” a spokesman said. “The wait is almost over and you will get to see the new library you, and the community voted for. We appreciate you as our loyal patrons and apologize for any inconvenience to you.”

Full library services will be available for Watson Chapel patrons at the Pine Bluff Main Library at the civic center, 200 E. Eighth Ave. During construction, patrons are asked to return any outstanding books to the Main Library.
