Arkansas veterans and their families will have the opportunity to speak to VA healthcare and benefits experts at an hour-long tele-town hall scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5.

The Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs (ADVA) along with AARP and the VA want to hear from veterans and their family members, according to a news release.

Kelvin L. Parks, medical center director of the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, in addition to other experts will be available to answer questions.

To access the tele-town hall, participants should register at Participants may also sign up for this town hall by going to, select the town hall link or by going to the Arkansas Department of Veterans Affairs Facebook and selecting the link on the event.

After veterans or their relatives have registered for the event, AARP will call the registered phone line Monday before the town hall to bring them into the event.
