We Are Community (W.A.C.) will present its fifth annual back-to-school event from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 11, at Saracen Landing.
The event will include school items, games, activities, free hair cuts for boys, access to the bouncy house and free food and drinks, according to a news release.
“We Are Community (W.A.C.) was formed with a mission to partner with local businesses in Pine Bluff to support back-to-school drives as a whole,” according to the release.
W.A.C. includes more than 50 business owners, sponsors and donors working to bring small business owners together to support youth.
“It is our dream to continue our mission. Each year our event grows bigger and we are proud to announce new partnerships that support us including, Artist & Blades, Parks and Recreation, Gloves Not Guns, NAOrganizing, What’s Next Pine Bluff, I.M.P.A.C.T., Joni Alexander (our city council member), and many more small business owners, sponsors and donors,” according to the release.
“The success of this event (as we see it) will be due to the contributions and donations of our community partners who continue to support this worthy cause. We appreciate you for your time and kind donations.
