The Pine Bluff Black Firefighters, B.R.A.V.E., will host its Project Fresh Start Back-to-School Bash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center.
Tickets for school supplies will be given to students who register during the event. School supplies will be given on a first come, first served basis to those with tickets, according to Kahdijah Miller, vice president of B.R.A.V.E.
The community is invited to attend the event which will also include activities and refreshments.
“Known as B.R.A.V.E. (Banishing Racism Animosity Vigorously Everywhere), this community-minded group of firefighters give area students a helping hand as they return back to school. They do this by providing school supplies and more,” according to a news release.
Back-to-school bash platinum sponsors include Walmart, Delta Dental, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church and First Presbyterian Church.
