On Tuesday, Janet Hartz, president of Scott Systems, announced the retirement of longtime employee Dave Reeves. Reeves has served as general manager of Scott Systems for many years, according to a news release from the company.

“It saddens us to announce the retirement of our beloved coworker and friend. Dave’s contributions will always be valued and remembered. His hard work, commitment, and dedication are worthy of admiration. We are happy that Dave will be enjoying his well-deserved retirement,” Hartz said.

“For over 40 years, Dave has been an integral part of the Scott Systems family. We will miss him very much.”

A lifelong resident of Arkansas, Reeves got into the HVAC trade after taking the advice of his father.

“My Dad did ammonia refrigeration as well as farming and welding,” Reeves said. “Dad advised me to go into the Freon side of the business, so that’s what got me here.”

A retirement party is planned for 11 a.m. Friday, Aug, 16, at Scott Systems offices located at 2811 Miramar Drive in Pine Bluff. Friends and family of Reeves and Scott Systems are invited to help kick off this exciting new chapter in his life.
