The Gospel Comedy Explosion will be presented at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, at the Pine Bluff Convention Center. The doors open at 5 p.m., according to the Stuff in The Bluff website.

“See Bryant Hannah, Tony Tone and ‘Funnyman’ Prescott together on one stage for a hilarious night,” according to the announcement.

The event will be “an evening of good clean fun,” according to the announcement.

“Superstar Comedian Steve Harvey says this about ‘Funnyman Prescott’: ‘One of my favorite all time comedians, Prescott, you gotta go see this man’,” according to the announcement.

Organizers of the show are also seeking performers for the opening act.

“Do you have a Christian themed performance. Choir, soloist, group, musician, rapper, poet, comedian, etc. are invited to post a video in the comments OR post a video of your performance to the Pine Bluff Convention Center’s Facebook Page. We will create a post featuring your video,” a spokesman said. “If your video gets the most likes, you become our opening act.”

The grand prize includes: Opening act of the Gospel Comedy Explosion, $100 cash presented on stage; admission, backstage passes and preferred parking.
