WARREN — The Bradley County Fair will present the first Miss Two Rivers Scholarship pageant for young women of Southeast Arkansas.
The pageant will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Bradley County Fairgrounds.
The Miss Two Rivers Scholarship pageant will be open to young women, 17-21 years old, from Ashley, Bradley, Calhoun, Cleveland, Dallas, Drew, Calhoun, Cleveland, Lincoln and Union counties. Girls will compete in interview, sportswear and evening gown contests.
The Bradley County Fair, scheduled for Sept. 11-14, will include new events such as the pageant, which is in recognition of the two rivers, the Saline and Ouachita, that run through the area, a spokeswoman said in a news release.
The winner of Miss Two Rivers will receive scholarships, including a $500 cash scholarship, and will represent this area of Southeast Arkansas.
Little Miss Two Rivers and Little Mister Two Rivers pageants are also planned for this year’s County Fair. Children, 2-6 years old, are eligible to enter these pageants and the winners will represent the Southeast Arkansas area. Competition for these groups has been set for 9 a.m. Sept. 14 at the fairgrounds.
