The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) Chapter 287 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Building, 211 W. Third Ave.
The keynote speaker will be Erin Bolton, a registered nurse and quality and regulatory manager at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She will discuss Dementia, Symptoms, Types and Diagnosis, according to a news release.
“Dementia is the loss of cognitive functioning, thinking, remembering, speaking and reasoning skills, so that it interferes with one’s daily life and activities,” a spokesman said.
Also during the meeting, Waymond Meins, NARFE State Alzheimer’s chairman, will report on the latest national fund-raising totals for Alzheimer’s.
