The Living Vessels Organization (LVO), in collaboration with Wal-Mart, presented a $750 check for Pine Bluff High School’s clothes closet. The presentation was made Aug. 20 at the school’s McGeorge building, according to a news release.
“Shun Jackson, Pine Bluff High’s social worker, was instrumental in securing the donation,” according to the release. “One of the group’s projects is to help purchase uniforms for students, and the donation will greatly benefit students.”
LVO officials presenting the check were Corine Jones, LVO president; Valerie Davis, vice president; and Toni Watley, a member.
Accepting the check were Superintendent Jeremy Owoh, Principal Michael Nellums, Shun Jackson and Freddie Jolivette, director of communications.
