Pine Bluff residents are being invited to a meeting on updating the city’s comprehensive plan, which was last updated in 1983.

According to a news release, the meeting will be held at the Pine Bluff Convention Center starting at 6 p.m. Monday.

According to the release, Crafton Tull has been hired to develop the plan to coordinate and direct future growth, neighborhood development and economic incentives for the city.

“Your voice and opinion are extremely important,” the release said.

“Besides background information being provided, this meeting will be the initial public kickoff meeting for the Plan development. Displays will be set up and computers will be available for individuals to complete a short survey on aspects of Pine Bluff.

“This survey, as well as other information, will be pushed out through other social media methods. This project will take place over the next several months with additional area-specific meetings taking place.”

“Please take the time to give us your ideas to make Pine Bluff the ‘Place to Be’ in Southeast Arkansas,” the release said.
