Mrs. Doris Jean Beasley, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed Sunday, August 25, 2019. She was born September 5, 1936, in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Malford and Lucenda (Stoudamire) Crawford.


She leaves to cherish her memories to: Husband, Raymond Beasley of Little Rock, AR; Son, Kevin Ray Beasley of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Daughter, Keshia Beasley of Little Rock, AR; and Sister, Ida Fair of Atlanta, Georgia; Four Grandchildren.


Funeral Service will be 2:30p.m., Saturday, August 31, 2019 at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, Bookman Community, AR by Rev. Norma Gillom. Burial in St. Paul Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff, AR.

Erma Whitmore


Mrs. Erma Lee Adams Whitmore, 84, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas passed Wednesday August 21, 2019. She was born to the late Albert Adams, Sr., and Sadie Adams on January 13, 1935, in Moro, Arkansas. She was the first of eleven children. She was married for 32 years to her husband, Lugene Whitmore, Sr., who preceded her in death.


In addition to her husband and parents, Sister Whitmore was preceded in death by her; parents, son, Lugene Whitmore Jr., sister, Earlene Adams (Rev. T.R.) Brown; and brothers, Deacon Curtis Lee (Bobbie) Adams; and Albert “Buck” (Victoria) Adams.


Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Diane (Verne) Hayes of Pine Bluff, AR; Barbara (Robert) Donner of Decatur, AL; Bernadine Whitmore of Pine Bluff, AR; sons, Ricky (Ella) Whitmore; and Kenneth (Cynthia) Whitmore both of Pine Bluff, AR; siblings Joe T. (Vencie) Adams, Bernestine Adams Beasley; and Earnett (Mae) Adams all of Pine Bluff, AR; Alfred T. Adams of Hercules, CA; Betty Adams Mosely of Houston, TX; Ray D. (Laura) Adams of Montgomery, AL; and Maurice B. (Rhonda) Adams of Little Rock, AR; 21 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Carolyn Faye Davis Parish, 73, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, passed away on August 24, 2019. She was born to the late Tommie Davis, Sr. and late Matilda Davis Jeter.


Her visitation will be held today, at Christian Way Funeral Home 6:00-7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 31, 2019, at First Trinity Church of God In Christ, Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Her body will lie in state from 12:15 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents Hosea and Emma Davis and Henry and Lee Ella Thompson; her parents, Tommie Sr. and Matilda; her siblings James L. Jackson, Cheyenne Jeter Moore, and Wayne Dobbins; as well as her nephew, Christopher “Chris” Moore II, who she raised as a son into his teen years.


She leaves to cherish her memories her children: Carla Parish Ward (Mike), Carl Parish (Jana), Chanda Parish and Carol Parish Randle (Lee). Also, surviving are her five brothers: Theodis “Ted” Davis, Tommie Davis Jr (Shelia), Harold Davis, Bobby Jeter, Ricky Jeter (Kim); and her three sisters: Lilly Pearl Davis ,Brenda Davis Byrd (Gerald) and Belinda Jeter Langel (Jesse) ; as well as 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a host of beloved relatives and friends. christianwayfh@att.net .
