One person was killed and two were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 530 at the 13th Street Exit Tuesday morning.

Kelly said the body of Howard, who had a New Edinburg address, will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to a preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, the injured were Danny R. Howard, 62, of New Edinburg, who was in the same vehicle as Lisa Howard, and Jane R. Cezar, 65, of North Little Rock.

The preliminary report that a 2006 International tractor-trailer rig that was northbound first struck a 2014 GMC driven by Danny Howard, then struck a 2013 Nissan driven by Cezar before finally hitting a 2006 Toyota. All the vehicles were northbound at the time.

After the collision, both the Nissan and the Toyota left the roadway on the east side while the tractor-trailer jackknifed, blocking the northbound lanes of traffic.

The tractor-trailer, GMC and Toyota all caught on fire.
