The 2019 Southeast District Fair & Livestock Show will begin its 80th year at Pine Bluff Monday, Sept. 30 through Saturday, Oct. 5.

The annual rodeo parade won’t be held this year, according to a spokesman.

Fair events will be held at Hestand Stadium. The gates will open to the general public at 5 p.m. during fair week, except on Saturday, Oct 5, when events begin at noon, according to a news release.

“Fair week” includes a full slate of activities beginning Sunday, Sept. 29, when Home Economic Exhibits will begin setup for judging.

The 2019 Livestock Program will begin Monday, Sept. 30, at 8 a.m. through the Halter Horse Show, Saturday, Oct. 5. Poultry Coop-In will begin Wednesday, Oct. 2.

“Fair attendees will have the chance to explore the latest and greatest products offered by regional merchants at the Exhibit Hall, open each night of Fair Week at 6 p.m.,” according to the release.

On Tuesday, Oct. 1, rides will open at the fairgrounds.

“Kenny’s Funland will bring safe quality rides for all ages,” according to the release.

Arkansas Rodeo Association will bring the excitement beginning Thursday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m.

“Opening night will be one you don’t want to miss as it will be jam packed with exciting action as well as each performance of the rodeo,” according to the release.

The 2019 Rodeo Queen will be crowned on Saturday night, Oct. 5.
