The Ivy Center for Education Inc. (ICE), partnering with the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. College Admissions Process Program (CAP) will host a workshop.
The event will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 913 University Drive.
The workshop presenters will be English teachers, Janelle Coffee and Special Sanders from Pine Bluff High School, and Rebecca Newby from Watson Chapel High School.
Topics will include resume writing, scholarship essay writing and completing FASA and college scholarship application.
Damiccah Robertson, CAP co-chairman will discuss applying for the lottery scholarship. Mattie Collins, ICE president, will talk about writing a good career statement. Patricia Berry, ICE executive director will present ACT tips, according to a news release.
Students in 7-12th grades may attend the workshops. They must bring paper and pencil/pen and may wear their favorite college T-Shirt. Refreshments will be served.
