First Missionary Baptist Church, 4500 Faucett Road, invites the community to its annual fall harvest fest/community health fair from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 12.


Highlights will include cancer awareness, screenings for blood pressure checks, blood glucose and cholesterol and health department representatives with information on teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases and HIV. Flu shots will also be available, according to a news release.


The Pine Bluff Fire and Emergency Services Department will offer details on smoke detectors and the Pine Bluff Police Department will give safety tips.


Participants will also learn about programs for caregivers of people with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.


The church will also offer information regarding salvation. Refreshments will be served.
