The University of Arkansas Pine Bluff will host the Ag Industries/STEM Day at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, according to a news release.


The UAPB School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences, UAPB office of Recruitment will host the event in celebration of National Youth Science Day and National 4-H Week. Bayer and the National 4-H Council are sponsors, according to a news release.


“Bayer is proud to announce its support of National 4-H Council’s National Youth Science Day (4-H NYSD) by supplying engaging STEM education kits for students in rural areas whose schools have limited internet access and resources,” according to the release.


Approximately 150 youth will be learning computer science skills using Game Changer kits. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to speak with department leaders, tour the campus, learn about various career opportunities and attend the football game, according to the release.
