FBT Bank & Mortgage invites the community to its Simple Fix Financial Workshop from 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17. The free financial literacy event will be held at the FBT neighborhood loan office, 716-B S. Main St. in downtown Pine Bluff.
This event is open to the public and will focus on basic financial practices, such as establishing a savings fund, budget and how credit works. Participants will receive a literacy workbook that they can use after the workshop to track their expenses and begin to budget, according to a news release.
FBT will recognize National Get Smart About Credit Day during the event.
“We want to give the community a resource for financial success,” said Joni Alexander, director of FBT Community Outreach.
Free food and prizes will also be available. Details: Joni Alexander, 870-201-3044.
