• PRAIRIE LAKE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 2611 Indiana St., will celebrate its 125th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor of Watkin Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.


• UNITY TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 4401 W. Sixth Ave., will celebrate its 30th church anniversary and the second appreciation of the pastor and wife, Tommy and Patricia York, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be Superintendent Jerry Williams Sr. of Pine Bluff District #1 and pastor of Prayer Garden Church of God in Christ.


• HOPE APOSTOLIC MINISTRY, 5910 Carbon St., will host its 24th anniversary at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.


•MT. NEBO MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 3201 W. Second Ave., will celebrate its 130th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Jerry Hayes, pastor of Old Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, accompanied by his congregation.


• MT. BAYOU MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH at Altheimer will celebrate its 154th anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest preacher will be the Rev. Charles Helloms Jr., pastor of Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Ladd.


• JERUSALEM CHURCH GETHSEMANE at Tucker will honor its pastor, Elder Robert E. Staten Jr., on his first anniversary at 11:30 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The Rev. Reginald Williams, pastor of the Bread of Heaven Church at Little Rock, will be the guest speaker.


• FIRST MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 4500 Faucett Road, will observe its 154th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Johnny Smith, pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.


• THE CHURCH OF THE LIVING GOD, 3120 Gravel Pit Road, at White Hall, will hold its 30th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Woodrow Jackson, pastor of New United Baptist Church.


• GOSPEL TEMPLE BAPTIST CHURCH, 1100 Oakwood Road, will commemorate its 106th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Travis Harden, pastor of Greater Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.


• EAST END CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 709 Virginia St., will celebrate 62 years of service honoring the pastor, William J. Johnson Sr., at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The featured speaker will be Bishop Jewel R. Withers, prelate for Arkansas First Jurisdiction.

• ROSE HILL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH at Meroney will present the Rose Hill Mass Choir anniversary at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Melvin Harrison, pastor of St. Ollie Missionary Baptist Church at Star City. Singers will include the Humble Hearts and St. Ollie Mass Choir.


• BARNETT CHAPEL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH, 1321 N. Birch St., will host its annual choir day at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Glenn Barnes, pastor of Pine Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

• MULBERRY GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH of Altheimer will present its mission program at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20. The featured speaker will be Debra Kentle Canagan of Old St. James Baptist Church.


• MULBERRY GROVE MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH of Altheimer will host a Breast Cancer Awareness Roundup at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22. Donna Williams-Huskey, a registered nurse, will discuss the importance of self breast exams, early detection and mammograms. Survivors Ann Reynolds Compton and Joyce Murry will offer expressions and a newly diagnosed cancer patient will speak.


• JERUSALEM #1 MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH at Altheimer will host its annual mission day at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct 20. Speakers discussing the Fruit of the Spirit include Paulette Walker, Cassandra Shaw, Laura Lovelace, Robin Stepps, Thelma Patterson, Jessica Hudson, Melissa Roberts, Flora Bateman and Yvette Graydon.
