The Arkansas Economic Development Commission (AEDC) held its monthly commission meeting Oct. 10 in Pine Bluff at the Economic Development Alliance.
Alliance President Allison J.H. Thompson visited with Commission Chairman Steve Lux prior to the meeting.
In conjunction with their visit to Jefferson County, several commissioners and AEDC staff members participated the previous afternoon in a briefing and tour at FDA’s National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR).
While at NCTR, they also heard a presentation by officials of Energy Security Partners about ESP’s $3.5 billion natural gas-to-liquid project planned for northern Jefferson County. After the ESP briefing, the group was driven to the ESP site for a view of the vast project area.
A dinner at Pine Bluff Country Club concluded that day’s activities.
