The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers will present the annual Holiday Foods Show at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Parish Hall, West Sixth Avenue and Laurel Street.

Doors to the event will open at 9:30 a.m. and the theme is “Rolling Into the Holidays,” according to a news release.

Debbie James is the chairwoman, and Dot Hart is the co-chairwoman of the event.

Chairwomen of the various categories are: Sandy Smith — Appetizers, Jo Segars — Soups and Salads, Kaye Richardson — Sides, Marnette Reed — Main Dishes, Sheila Childers — Breads, Jo Ann Carr — Desserts, Sarah Payton — Beverages, Dot Hart — Healthy Foods, Brenda Robinson — Gifts from the Kitchen and Miscellaneous.

The Jefferson County Extension Homemakers have been busy submitting recipes for the various categories. The category chairwomen have selected recipes to be demonstrated or shown at the event. In addition, door prizes will be given throughout the show, according to the news release.

Event tickets are $15 which include a booklet, tasting and door prizes and are only available in advance. Extra cookbooks will also be available for $5. For details or to purchase tickets, call 870-718-1846 or 870-247-4050.
